Northwest Christian Preschool

Description: Preschool Lead Teacher - The Preschool Teacher position is shared by two people. The responsibilities include developing a cohesive teaching team, coordinating the curriculum, and managing the day-to-day operational activities of the classroom. Teachers must understand children’s cognitive, social, emotional and physical development in order to ensure a safe and stimulating classroom environment where children are actively engaged and encouraged to succeed. The Teacher must be skilled in communicating with both children and adults in order to meet the needs of the children, effectively guide teacher assistants, and resolve parental concerns. Desired knowledge, skills, and experience: • Minimum of 1 years of professional child care experience. • High energy. • Strong oral and written communication skills and basic computer skills. • Ability to work well with others (staff, children, and parents) and to foster a team environment. • A strong understanding of child development. • Excellent leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills. • Infant/child CPR and First Aid certification. • Food Handler’s Certification • Must clear full background check Apply by sending your resume to Stephanie at shetzer@nwchristianschool.org

Leah Nelson Moon

Description: Preschool Teacher - A preschool teacher is wanted at a year-round small childcare center located in Seattle (near UW). We are looking for a teacher who is energetic, friendly, creative, devoted and nurturing. The candidate must be able to plan daily activities, sing songs, provide art activities, and read books. The responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: • plan, prepare and perform monthly, weekly and daily challenging and creative curriculum • implement age appropriate learning activities • assist in toilet training • supervise and interact with children in all areas of the program, • plan, prepare, and perform activities that show care for the environment, • attend staff meetings, • perform cleaning and light maintenance. The candidate must be able to participate on long hikes, be able to physically supervise and engage in child appropriate sporting activities, and be able to learn and conduct child appropriate yoga.
