Improving the Quality of Child Care

The Department of Early Learning reports that in 2015 only 45% of Washington children rated as kindergarten-ready in all six assessment categories. Quality early learning experiences in the first five years of life are crucial to school-readiness and overall community well-being. As Nobel Laureate Economist James Heckman has said, “The early childhood investments we make today in disadvantaged young children promote social mobility, create opportunity, and foster a vibrant, healthy and inclusive society and economy.”
Child Care Resources provides individual coaching, technical assistance, and training opportunities for licensed child care providers in King and Pierce Counties to help them improve the quality of their care. Whether they’ve been operating a child care site for 30 years or are in the process of opening their own in-home child care program, we are a trusted and expert source of support for an industry of professionals caring for young children.
