Our Work with Families
Because a child’s brain develops more in the first five years of life—at a rate of 700 synapses per second—more than at any other time, an enriching, high-quality child care environment is a key element in preparing children for success in school and in life.
CCR informs and supports parents in choosing and accessing child care that meets their needs, values, and culture by providing:

customized child care referrals and information to all Washington families via phone or on-line

enhanced case management and child care subsidy for families experiencing homelessness or with other special needs

community support, tools and information for family, friend, and neighbor caregivers
